A Night Out is an experimental One Button Game. You need to escape monsters from you nightmare challenging your relation to your controller and your sences.

Mechanics
The challenge here, is to respond to the right sign with the right input. You are introduced to the monsters one by one to understand intuitively how they work.
UX / UI
You have instant feedback: the sound that comes closer or further away, the joystick that vibrates more or less intensely.

You must pay attention to the feedbacks of your player. Your light will start to slightly fade and the little girl to slow down when she is tired. You must manage your resources !
Inside
A Night Out is a solo project created at isart digital. We had to make a one button game based on the theme "liberty".

As it was my first ever game, my goal was to challenge myself with the constraints of the input and my technicals skills.
Post Mortem
Being my first game, my focus was on the technical challenge that this project presented and that scared me. I added a layer of challenge by making a game with the vibrations of the controller. It allowed me to extend my technical abilities but, with hindsight, to the detriment of the quality of the gameplay which remains rather simple and not very evolutive in its current form. The concept was interesting but not deep enough for my taste.

Negative Points
- Gameplay a bit flat
- Limited gameplay blocks
- Not enough gameplay situations
- No difficulty progression
- No pattern or mix of different enemies
